GENERAL

Basic & Physical Requirements

• Must be able to lift up to 22kg
• Must be able to assume and maintain a variety of postures (kneeling, squatting, crawling, sitting, standing) for extended periods of time.
• Must be willing and able to utilize quick body movements as indicated in the Behaviour Intervention Plan while working with children with challenging behaviour.
• Must have the manual dexterity to perform specific computer and electronic device functions for data collection.
• Must be physically present at the assigned job location, which may include home, kindergarten, and community placements.
• Must be able to receive detailed information through oral communication.
• Must have visual acuity to read and comprehend written communication through computer, electronic device, and paper means.
• Must have reliable transportation and be willing and able to travel between different job sites within the South-East suburbs of Melbourne.
• Must have a valid Driver’s License & car insurance.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree or be working towards a Master’s degree in Applied Behaviour Analysis, Psychology, or related allied health field, OR
• A Bachelor’s degree or be working towards a Bachelor’s degree in psychology, speech pathology, occupational psychology, social work or related fields preferred but not essential, OR
• Must have at least a senior secondary certificate of education (VCE).

Experience

• Required: None.
• Preferred: Experience working with children ages 0-8 providing 1:1 in-home or Kindergarten setting; experience implementing the principles of Applied Behaviour Analysis; Educational, Speech, or other Allied Health Services experience.

Related Training

• Responsible for completing and maintaining all required certifications and trainings once employed but before starting work with a client including, but not limited to: First Aid, CPR, Police and Working With Children Checks, RBT trainings and other company in-services and trainings as directed by employment supervisor.
